The village of Ramstein was first mentioned in a document in 1215, officially becoming a town in 1991. Due to the US military presence, it is now known well outside its boundaries.
Ramstein is in the west palatinate moor, surrounded by fields meadows, and woods. There are many historical sites to visit.
